Saint Lucia Kings Dominate St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to Go Top of the Table

The Saint Lucia Kings have taken the top spot in the Caribbean Premier League, 2025, with a commanding seven-wicket win over the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Tim Seifert (68 off 45) and Johnson Charles (47 off 17) laid the foundation for the win with a blistering opening partnership.

The Patriots, who struggled to get going, were eventually restricted to 177 for 3 in 20 overs. Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 for 17. The Kings' spin trio of Shamsi, Roston Chase, and Khary Pierre kept the Patriots' scoring rate in check.

In response, the Kings' openers continued their aggressive approach, with Charles smashing 18 runs off Kyle Mayers' second over. Seifert and Charles put on 72 for 0 in the PowerPlay, setting the tone for the chase. The Kings eventually reached 180 for 3 in 17 overs, with Tim David and Chase sealing the win with two boundaries each.

Brief Scores:

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots 177/3 in 20 overs
Saint Lucia Kings 180/3 in 17 overs
