Matheesha Pathirana ruled out of Pakistan T20Is
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced squads for the upcoming tour of Pakistan, which includes a three-match ODI series and a T20I tri-series also featuring Zimbabwe. The ODI series begins on November 11 in Rawalpindi, while the tri-series starts on November 17 at the same venue.
Pacer Dilshan Madhushanka has been omitted from the ODI squad due to a knee injury, with Eshan Malinga named as his replacement. Other players missing out are Nuwanidu Fernando, Milan Priyanath Rathnayake, Nishan Madushka, and Dunith Wellalage, with Lahiru Udara, Kamil Mishara, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Pramod Madushan taking their places.
In the T20I squad, Matheesha Pathirana is ruled out due to an upper respiratory tract infection, and Asitha Fernando has been included in his place. Sri Lanka has made four additional changes to the T20I squad that exited in the group stage of the Asia Cup: Nuwanidu Fernando, Dunith Wellalage, Chamika Karunaratne, and Binura Fernando have been replaced by Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Janith Liyanage, Dushan Hemantha, and Eshan Malinga.
