The hosts threatened to come close to Karnataka's first-innings total of 313 before falling short to concede a slender lead. Mayank Agarwal then led Karnataka's batting again, scoring an unbeaten 64 while wickets fell around him, with Mukesh Choudhary bagging three. The visitors were 144 for 5 at Stumps, leading by 157.

Vasuki Koushik's five-wicket haul helped Goa take the first-innings lead against Madhya Pradesh in Porvorim. Starting the day at 181 for 7, Madhya Pradesh were bowled out for 187. Kumar Kartikeya then picked up five wickets but Goa, thanks to Abhinav Tejrana's 69 and useful 40s from Lalit Yadav and Rajashekhar Harikant, finished with 230 to give Madhya Pradesh a target of 328. The visitors were 21/1 at Stumps.

Ayush Badoni and Ayush Doseja struck half-centuries but Vanshaj Sharma's six-wicket haul helped Jammu & Kashmir bowl hosts Delhi out for 277 in their second innings. Needing 179 for victory, J & K were 55/2 at Stumps, with Qamran Iqbal unbeaten on 32.

Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal's four-wicket haul helped Bengal restrict Railways to 222 in their first innings in Surat. Railways, who started the day at 97 for 5, saw fighting knocks from Bhargav Merai (91) and Upendra Yadav (70) but ended up well short of Bengal's 474. Asked to follow on, they were 90 for 5 at Stumps, with Rahul Prasad and Shahbaz Ahmed bagging two wickets each.
