Deepti, Healy, Wolvaardt headline Marquee set for WPL 2026 auction

Deepti Sharma, Alyssa Healy and Laura Wolvaardt headline the eight-player Marquee set for the upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 auction. A total of 277 players, grouped into 39 sets, have made the list for the auction, scheduled for November 27 in New Delhi.

Renuka Singh is the only other Indian player in the Marquee group, which also includes Sophie Devine, Sophie Ecclestone, Amelia Kerr and Meg Lanning. Renuka has a reserve price of INR 40 lakh and Wolvaardt INR 30 lakh, while the remaining players are listed at a base price of INR 50 lakh.

As many as 19 players have listed themselves at the highest reserve price of INR 50 lakh, including Phoebe Litchfield, Harleen Deol, Uma Chetry, Kranti Goud, Pratika Rawal, Pooja Vastrakar and Georgia Wareham.

There are potentially 73 open slots (23 overseas) split across the five franchises. 83 are overseas players, 155 are uncapped and four belong to Associate nations.

Bangladesh's Shorna Akter and West Indies' Jahzara Claxton are the youngest capped players to feature in the list.

The franchises will have a total of INR 41.1 crore at their disposal. Among them, UP Warriorz, who retained just Shweta Sehrawat, will have the largest purse at INR 14.5 crore. Champions Mumbai Indians and finalists Delhi Capitals will have INR 5.75 crore and INR 5.7 crore respectively. There will also be eight Right To Match (RTM) cards at play, with the Warriorz holding four.
