Bangladesh pick Ankon, Saifuddin for Ireland T20Is

Bangladesh have included uncapped wicket-keeper batter Mahidul Islam Ankon in their squad for the first two T20Is against Ireland. All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has also been recalled in the 15-man squad led by Litton Das.

Ankon, 26, made his Test debut against South Africa in 2024 and recently debuted in ODIs against West Indies last month, scoring 46, 17 and 6 in three matches.

Saifuddin missed selection against West Indies after the regular skipper returned to the side at his expense.

Taskin Ahmed and Shamim Hossain have not been picked.
