Bangladesh add Shamim Hossain for third Ireland T20I

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Sunday that Shamim Hossain has been added to the squad for the third T20I against Ireland.

Before the series began, T20I captain Litton Das had taken a dig at the national selectors over Shamim's omission, which raised quite a few eyebrows heading into the contest that now stands level at 1-1.

"Shamim was never out of our plan it was just that we wanted see what other options we had ahead of the T20I World Cup," Hasibul Hossain, former national pace bowler and current member of the national selection panel, told Cricbuzz on Sunday.

"We have a plan in place and want to proceed accordingly," he added.
