Rishad, Mustafizur demolish Ireland to secure series

Bangladesh delivered a commanding performance to demolish Ireland in the final T20I and secure the series 2-1. After losing the opening game, Bangladesh staged a strong comeback, highlighted by a dominant win on Tuesday. Their bowlers bundled out Ireland for just 117 before the batters chased down the target inside 14 overs.

Ireland opted to bat first and started aggressively, with Paul Stirling hitting boundaries early. Tim Tector struck 4,4,6 off Shoriful Islam before being bowled by an off cutter. Ireland reached 50/1 in five overs, but Bangladesh clawed back with regular strikes.

Rishad Hossain rattled Curtis Campher's stumps with a googly at the halfway point, triggering a collapse from 50/1 to 66/4. Rishad also dismissed the set batter Stirling and finished with three wickets. Mustafizur Rahman, who had bowled Harry Tector earlier, returned at the death for a double strike, ending with a three-wicket haul.

Chasing 118, Bangladesh lost Saif Hassan and Litton Das in the powerplay but remained on track. Tanzid Hasan looked in good touch and, alongside Parvez Hossain, batted clinically without urgency.

At the halfway point, with victory in sight, Tanzid opened up, hitting Delany for two sixes and Craig Young for another to pass fifty and guide Bangladesh to victory.

Brief Scores: Ireland 117 in 19.5 overs (Paul Stirling 38; Mustafizur Rahman 3/11, Rishad Hossain 3/21) lost to Bangladesh 119/2 in 13.4 overs (Tanzid Hasan 55*, Parvez Hossain 33*; Harry Tector 1/17) by 8 wickets.
