Tait embraces 'challenge' as Bangladesh eye series win

Bangladesh pace bowling coach Shaun Tait urged his side not to take Ireland for granted, while emphasizing the need to avoid overcomplicating their approach in the three-match T20I series decider in Chattogram on December 2.

The series, tied at 1-1, is Bangladesh's final bilateral T20 assignment before the T20 World Cup in February. "Ireland has played some good cricket and they've got a really organized T20 team," said Tait. "For us, we want the good challenge. Our next series is a World Cup. I think we just need to play good cricket and win the game. Every time you win an international match, you gain confidence."

Tait praised Mustafizur Rahman for his composure. "Fizz is full of experience and he keeps everything very simple. He knows his strengths, has set high standards, and has performed well all over the world. Teams want him because he is a quality, world-class player."

He also noted his regular communication with Taskin Ahmed, who is currently in the T10 League. "I have a great relationship with him. He is an important senior player and a good leader. Everyone follows him. It is a privilege to have someone like him in the squad."

Meanwhile, Ireland head coach Heinrich Malan said aggression will be key as they seek a series win. "The T20 game has evolved massively. We want to free our players to express themselves. We've been very clear: take the game on from ball one."

He highlighted the emergence of Tim Tector as a major positive. "It's great to see he goes out there and plays his natural game. Hopefully, he can keep doing that tomorrow and as we head into the World Cup. Now it's about coming out tomorrow and hopefully achieving our goals."
