Jharkhand end group stage unbeaten; Mumbai finish with six wins

Delhi ended their SMAT 2025 campaign with a win over Uttarakhand. Nitish Rana scored a 29-ball 51, supported by Yash Dhull's half-century, taking Delhi to 162. Uttarakhand lost three wickets in the PowerPlay and never threatened the target. Digvesh Rathi (2/22), Suyash Sharma (2/27), and Prince Yadav (2/32) took two wickets each, with Navdeep Saini bowling economically (4 overs, 21 runs).

Bihar snapped a six-game losing streak with a final-game victory over Uttar Pradesh. Mangal Mahrour took 3/12, dismissing Sameer Rizvi, Rinku Singh, and Aaradhya Yadav. UP posted 144 despite Prashant Veer's 40 off 26. Bihar's chase was anchored by an 83-run opening stand between Piyush Singh (57 off 54) and Ayush Loharuka (36 off 36), winning in the last over thanks to Bipin Saurabh's 26* off 16.

Vidarbha defeated Super League-bound Andhra by 19 runs. Aman Mokhade's 38-ball 50 helped Vidarbha to 154. Yash Thakur took 4/22, supported by Umesh Yadav and Harsh Dubey with two wickets each. Umesh dismissed KS Bharat with the first ball of the chase. Andhra's Satyanarayana Raju starred with 4/26.

Baroda moved to 16 points with a 13-run win over Services in a high-scoring match. Keeper-batter Amit Passi smashed 114 off 55 balls (10 fours, 9 sixes), leading Baroda to 220. Contributions came from captain Vishnu Solanki (25 off 12) and Bhanu Pania (28* off 15). Services' top three—Kunwar Pathak (51 off 29), Ravi Chauhan (51 off 32), and Mohit Ahlawat (41 off 22)—sparkled, but a middle-order collapse left them 13 runs short. Baroda needs Punjab to beat Gujarat later to seal a quarterfinal spot.

Jharkhand qualified for the Super League with a perfect 7-out-of-7 record, beating Rajasthan by 36 runs. Virat Singh's 69 off 36 (4 fours, 5 sixes) was complemented by fifties from Kumar Kushagra (55 off 37) and Robin Minz (58 off 27), setting 215. Rajasthan's Karan Lamba scored 52, but they fell short. Rajasthan also qualified from the group.

Haryana topped Group C with a comfortable win over Bengal. Haryana posted 191, with Nishant Sindhu (48 off 31) and captain Ankit Kumar (46 off 30) scoring quick forties. Mohammed Shami took 4/30, but Bengal's chase faltered after Abhishek Porel's 47 off 24. Ishant Bhardwaj took 2/18 for Haryana.

Chandigarh beat Group B toppers Hyderabad. Hyderabad made 146, with Jagjit Singh taking 3/36. Chandigarh chased it down with a ball to spare, thanks to Arjun Azad's 63 off 48 and a 68-run stand with captain Shivam Bhambri, hitting a crucial six in the last over.

Assam bowled Kerala out for 101, with Sadek Hussain taking 4/19. Only Rohan Kunnummal passed 20 (23 off 33). Assam chased it with seven balls to spare, led by Pradyun Saikia's 41* off 39. Both teams finished with 12 points and identical records.

Tripura stunned Karnataka in a Super Over thriller. Karnataka scored 197/6, with Tripura captain Manisankar Murasingh taking two wickets. At 106/6, Murasingh hammered 69 off 35 to tie the game. In the Super Over, Tripura scored 22/0, and Karnataka fell short by 4 runs. Both teams finished with two wins each.

Chhattisgarh ended their campaign with a win over Railways. Railways were bowled out for 170 after a blistering start. Chhattisgarh lost openers cheaply, but Amandeep Khare's unbeaten 78 guided them to victory with five balls to spare.

Punjab trounced Gujarat despite Abhishek Sharma's absence for national duty. Naman Dhir's 66 helped Punjab post 188. Gujarat collapsed after Urvil Patel's duck, folding for 113. Five Punjab bowlers took two wickets each.

Maharashtra beat Goa by 15 runs but missed the quarterfinals. Rahul Tripathi's 83* off 44 lifted Maharashtra to 161/7. Only Lalit Yadav and Darshan Misal fought for Goa, falling short by 15 runs.

Mumbai hammered Odisha by nine wickets in their final group game. Chasing 168, Ajinkya Rahane's unbeaten 95 and Sarfaraz Khan's powerplay contribution led to victory with four overs left. Odisha posted 167/7 with no substantial scores.

Puducherry beat Himachal Pradesh by 18 runs. Puducherry posted 173/4, led by Bhanu Anand's fifty. HP were 111/3, but Ekant Sen's dismissal triggered a collapse to 155/9.

Madhya Pradesh qualified for the quarters despite losing to Jammu and Kashmir. J&K made 150/9, with Auqib Nabi's cameo. Nabi took three wickets as MP fell 13 runs short.

Tamil Nadu ended their campaign positively, beating Saurashtra. Saurashtra posted 180+, with Vishvaraj Jadeja (70 off 39) and Sammar Gajjar (66). Sai Sudharsan's century, aided by Sunny Sandhu's 30 off 9, guided TN to a tense chase, with Sudharsan finishing 101*.
