Archer included in provisional 15-man T20 World Cup squad
Jofra Archer has been included in England's provisional squad for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The selectors have also named Josh Tongue in their plans for the global event, to be held in India and Sri Lanka in February-March.
While Archer is in the provisional World Cup squad, he will not travel to Sri Lanka for next month's white-ball tour as he continues his rehabilitation from a left side strain sustained during the third Ashes Test in Adelaide. Tongue has earned his maiden T20I call-up and is part of both the touring squad for Sri Lanka and the provisional World Cup squad. Brydon Carse is in the T20I squad for the Sri Lanka tour but is not part of the provisional World Cup group.
