Deepti Sharma became the highest wicket-taker in women's T20 Internationals during the fifth T20I against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram. She reached the milestone with her 152nd T20I wicket in 133 matches, surpassing Australia's Meghan Schutt. Pakistan's Nida Dar is third with 144 wickets.
Deepti is also the first player, male or female, in history to score over 1000 runs and take 150-plus wickets in T20Is. She is the first woman to take 150-plus wickets in both ODIs and T20Is.
