Dishant Yagnik joins new-look KKR support staff as fielding coach
Indian Premier League, 2026
Dishant Yagnik has been appointed as the new fielding coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, the franchise confirmed on Wednesday (January 21). KKR have made the appointment ahead of the 2026 edition, adding Yagnik to their new-look support staff.
The 42-year-old has had multiple coaching stints post his playing career in domestic cricket and in the IPL, notably his long association as Rajasthan Royals' fielding coach until the last edition. Following an overhaul that saw RR part ways with head coach Rahul Dravid, Yagnik was also let go.
Yagnik had also played for the Royals in the IPL when he was an active player. In the domestic circuit, he played 50 first-class games for Rajasthan. He will join a strong support staff that includes new head coach Abhishek Nayar, assistant coach Shane Watson, power coach Andre Russell, mentor DJ Bravo, and bowling coach Tim Southee.
