WPL 2026 Playoff Scenarios: RCB-W Qualify, Four Teams in Tight Race

The playoff race is intensifying in WPL 2026. Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women have secured a playoff spot, while the other four teams remain in contention with six league matches remaining.

Current Points Table (After Match 14)

Position Team Matches Wins Losses Points NRR
1 RCB-W (Q) 5 5 0 10 +1.882
2 GG-W 6 3 3 6 -0.341
3 MI-W 6 2 4 4 +0.046
4 DC-W 5 2 3 4 -0.586
5 UP-W 6 2 4 4 -0.769

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (Qualified)

  • Remaining Fixtures: vs DC-W (Jan 24), vs MI-W (Jan 26), vs UP-W (Jan 29)
  • With five consecutive wins, RCB-W have guaranteed a top-two finish. A single victory in their final three matches will secure a direct place in the final. Their massive Net Run Rate (+1.882) is a significant advantage.

Gujarat Giants Women (2nd, 6 Points)

  • Remaining Fixtures: vs DC-W (Jan 27), vs MI-W (Jan 30)
  • Winning both remaining matches guarantees an Eliminator spot. Various scenarios exist with one win or even two losses, often involving multi-team ties decided by Net Run Rate.

Mumbai Indians Women (3rd, 4 Points)

  • Remaining Fixtures: vs RCB-W (Jan 26), vs GG-W (Jan 30)
  • The most straightforward path is to win both remaining games. Their fate is heavily dependent on the results of the GG-W vs DC-W match and the final standings of other teams, with several potential ties on points.

Delhi Capitals Women (4th, 4 Points)

  • Remaining Fixtures: vs RCB-W (Jan 24), vs GG-W (Jan 27), vs UP-W (Feb 1)
  • Three wins guarantee qualification. Two wins could also be enough, depending on other results. Key scenarios involve their matches against RCB-W and GG-W, and the final match against UP-W.

UP Warriorz (5th, 4 Points)

  • Remaining Fixtures: vs RCB-W (Jan 29), vs DC-W (Feb 1)
  • UP-W face the toughest challenge, sitting at the bottom with the worst NRR (-0.769). To qualify without relying on NRR, they must win both matches and need specific results from GG-W, MI-W, and DC-W. A multi-team tie is unfavorable due to their poor run rate.
