Jemimah Rodrigues elevated to Grade 'A' of BCCI's central contracts

Jemimah Rodrigues has been elevated to Grade A of the BCCI's central contracts for the 2025-26 season. The 25-year-old was a key figure in India's 2025 World Cup win, scoring an unbeaten 127 in the semifinal victory over Australia. Her promotion places her alongside Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Deepti Sharma in the top contract grade.

The central contract list has been expanded from 16 to 21 players for this cycle. Notable absentees are Shreyanka Patil and Pooja Vastrakar, who missed most of the previous season due to lengthy injuries, though both recently returned to play for the title-winning Royal Challengers Bengaluru in WPL 2026.
