Pratika Rawal back in India squad for Australia ODIs
Pratika Rawal, the India batter who was injured during the 2025 Women's World Cup, has been added to their ODI squad for the upcoming Australia series.
A BCCI press release confirmed that Rawal has successfully completed her rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE), having fully recovered from the ankle injury sustained in October, during India's triumphant World Cup campaign.
Rawal hobbled off the field during the rain-hit game against Bangladesh after injuring herself while fielding, and was replaced in the squad by Shafali Verma ahead of the semi-final. Rawal has not played any competitive cricket since, completing her long recovery. Earlier, she was also named in the squad for the one-off Test that follows the Australia WODIs.
Even as she stayed away from the field, Rawal continued to benefit from the record-breaking start to her international career, making an entry into BCCI's central contracts list.
The ODI series begins on February 24 with the first game in Brisbane, and the other two in Hobart. Perth will host the only Test.
Updated India squad for the Australia ODIs: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wk), Uma Chetry (wk), Kashvee Gautam, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Pratika Rawal.
