Ranji Trophy final to be held in Hubli
The Ranji Trophy final will be played in Hubli, Karnataka. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to formally announce the venue, but sources indicate the northern Karnataka city has been chosen for the marquee domestic fixture.
The final will be played between Karnataka and Jammu & Kashmir from February 24. A formal confirmation of the venue is expected by the end of the day.
The line-up for the final was confirmed on Thursday evening when Karnataka drew with Uttarakhand but progressed by virtue of a first-innings lead. Jammu & Kashmir booked their maiden berth in the final a day earlier, beating Bengal outright by six wickets in Kalyani on Wednesday.
This will be the 91st Ranji Trophy final. Karnataka have featured in the summit clash 15 times, winning the trophy eight times. Their last final was in 2015 when they beat Tamil Nadu. Karnataka have won all four head-to-head clashes against J&K, with their last meeting in Chennai in 2022.
The Hubli stadium, known as KSCA Hubli Cricket Ground, hosted Karnataka's league fixture against Chandigarh earlier this season, which Karnataka won by 185 runs.
