Akash Deep ruled out of IPL 2026

Kolkata Knight Riders' fast-bowling concerns continue to mount. Following issues with Harshit Rana and Matheesha Pathirana—who is still awaiting clearance from Sri Lanka Cricket—the franchise has now suffered another setback: Akash Deep has been ruled out of IPL 2026.

A top KKR official confirmed the development to Cricbuzz, stating, "Unfortunately, he is out of the IPL, ruled out for the season."

The 29-year-old Bengal pacer was acquired by KKR at his base price of INR 1 crore during last year's mini-auction in Abu Dhabi.
