- Pakistan scored 54 runs in the powerplay.
- Mujeeb Ur Rahman bowled a tight opening spell.
- Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi picked up wickets in successive overs.
- Pakistan lost Hasan Nawaz at 83/4.
- Salman Agha led a recovery with boundaries and sixes.
- Mohammad Nawaz also contributed with sixes.
- Mujeeb Ur Rahman dismissed Nawaz, but Pakistan reached 182/7.
Afghanistan Innings:
- Shaheen Afridi dismissed Ibrahim Zadran early.
- Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit fours and a six to accelerate the run rate.
- Sediqullah Atal hit a couple of sixes.
- Gurbaz was dismissed while attempting a sweep.
- Haris Rauf took two wickets in an over, including Atal and Karim Janat.
- Sufiyan Muqeem took a catch off his own bowling to dismiss Omarzai.
- Mohammad Nabi was dismissed in the next over.
- Rashid Khan hit five sixes, including three in an over from Rauf.
- Afghanistan were bowled out for 143 in 19.5 overs.
