Sandhu's six-for powers Pakistan's consolation win
Pakistan secured a six-wicket win in the third One-Day International against South Africa in Lahore. Nashra Sandhu took a career-best 6 for 26. South Africa won the three-match series 2-1.
South Africa, who rested several key players, made a steady start after electing to bat. Laura Wolvaardt and Karabo Meso put on a 38-run stand before Wolvaardt was dismissed by Diana Baig.
Sune Luus made a positive start but departed after hitting a couple of boundaries. Sandhu then ripped through South Africa's middle order, taking the wickets of Luus, Maine Smit, Anneke Bosch, Sinola Jafta, Chloe Tryon and Nadine de Klerk in 52 balls. South Africa were reduced to 94 for 8 by the 21st over.
Masataba Klass hit a couple of boundaries to help South Africa past 100, but they were eventually bowled out for 115.
Muneeba Ali and Sidra Amin ensured there wasn't an early wobble in Pakistan's chase. They put on a 65-run stand for the second wicket before Muneeba fell six short of her half-century.
De Klerk took two wickets in the 22nd over, but Natalia Perveiz supported Amin as Pakistan slowly marched towards the target.
Amin, who had scored centuries in the last two games, hit a boundary to bring up her half-century and help Pakistan win.
