Australia A Secure Comfortable Win Over India A

Australia A skipper Nathan McSweeney and Beau Webster put on an unbeaten 141-run stand to secure a seven-wicket win over India A in the first unofficial Test in Mackay.

The Unbroken Partnership

Starting the day at 139/3, McSweeney and Webster controlled the chase with a measured partnership that blunted India A's bowlers en route to the win. McSweeney struck a few elegant boundaries all around the park, looking untroubled during his stay.

India A's Controversy and Bowler-Friendly Conditions

The day wasn't without controversy as there was a ball change early in the morning, an event that left India A's players unhappy. However, the action resumed soon.

India A's batting performance on the opening day let them down as they got rolled over for 107 in bowler-friendly conditions. Brendan Doggett's 6-15 decimated India A's batting unit with only three batters getting to double digits.

India A's Strong Bowling Performance

However, the tourists also responded with a strong bowling performance led by Mukesh Kumar's 6-46.
