Lockie Ferguson ruled out of Sri Lanka ODIs due to calf injury

New Zealand's Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka due to a calf injury.

Injury occurred in 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka

Ferguson sustained the calf injury during the second T20I of the recently concluded series, forcing him to hobble off the field in discomfort after his second over.

Replacement Called Up

In his place, Adam Milne has been called up to join the New Zealand squad for the ODI series.

Reaction from Head Coach Gary Stead

"We're gutted for Lockie. He showed in the space of just two overs what an asset he is with the ball and he's also brought a lot of leadership to this group, so he'll be a big miss heading into an important ODI series for us."

Upcoming ODI Series Schedule

  • First match: November 13, Dambulla
