South Africa Level T20I Series Against India
Gerald Coetzee's explosive 19-ball 19 propelled South Africa to a three-wicket victory over India, leveling the T20I series after a loss in the previous match.
Coetzee's Heroics
Coetzee's innings was marked by fours and sixes, with 14 of his 19 runs coming from boundaries. His partnership with Tristan Stubbs (41-ball 47*) was unbroken and worth 42 runs off 20 balls, crucial in South Africa's chase of 125.
Series Tied on Wednesday
The series will now resume at Centurion on Wednesday, with the final match scheduled for Friday at the Wanderers. The outcome is far from certain, given South Africa's recent struggles and India's dominance.
Players Remain Grounded
Despite their high profiles, members of the South African squad kept a low profile on a flight from Gqeberha to Johannesburg, joining the broader passenger population.
A glimpse of Team-Sportship
What was reported was players was on the flight discussing topics far removed from playing: cars and their pets.
Notable incidents on the flight include a couple capturing 'selfie' photos of the players, and an instance of Marco Jansen stretching his frame in an unfamiliar tight space.
Injury Update
Aiden Markram was seen with a metal brace on his little finger following a attempt to take a catch offered by Hardik Pandya on Sunday.
