England's White-ball Coaching Setup Undergoes Restructure

England Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that assistant coaches Carl Hopkinson and Richard Dawson will step down from the white-ball coaching team.

Coaches' Background and Contributions

Carl Hopkinson, a part of England's ODI World Cup victory in 2019 and T20 World Cup win in Australia in 2022, will depart, while Richard Dawson will leave after previously coaching England Young Lions and the 2022 T20 World Cup success.

Restructuring Linked to Coaching Role Changes

Brendon McCullum is set to take over as all-format coach in January, leading to a coaching group restructure.

Recent Team Performance

England's white-ball teams have struggled, failing to defend titles in India and the USA-West Indies in the last 12 months. The poor performance led to Matthew Mott's resignation earlier this year.

Director of Cricket's Comments

"The coaches departed demonstrated exceptional coaching skills, contributing significantly to white-ball team success. They helped develop young players and England Cricket will remain grateful for their contributions."
