Shafali Verma Left Out of India's ODI Squad to Face Australia

India's squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia has been announced, with dynamic opener Shafali Verma being left out due to poor form. Verma has only aggregated 56 runs in the recent home series against New Zealand, with her last ODI half-century coming in July 2022.

Notable Absentees

Shreyanka Patil, the highly-rated offspinner, has also been omitted from the squad due to shin splints. This comes after she played in the T20 World Cup following a period on the sidelines with a hand injury.
