Yastika Bhatia Ruled Out of WBBL 2024 Due to Wrist Fracture

Injury Update

Yastika Bhatia, the India wicketkeeper-batter, has been ruled out of the remainder of the WBBL 2024 due to a wrist fracture. The injury occurred during the Melbourne derby on November 15.

Impact on ODI Series

Bhatia's recovery timeline is uncertain, and she will have to rush to get fit for the three-match ODI series against Australia starting on December 5.

Replacement Options

India has not yet named a replacement for Bhatia in their 16-member squad. Priya Punia, who was recalled to the ODI squad, is an option available to the tourists if Bhatia does not recover in time.

Bhatia's Performance in WBBL

In her maiden WBBL stint, Bhatia made an instant impact, scoring 154 runs for the Melbourne Stars in six innings, at an average of 25.66 and strike-rate nearly 105.
