IPL Mega Auction Day 1: Key Highlights

Auction Timeline

The Indian Premier League 2025 Mega Auction will unfold over two days, with the following schedule:

• Marquee Lots: 84 players, including Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, and Mitchell Starc, among others.
• Capped Batters, All-Rounders, and Wicketkeepers: Following the marquee sets.
• Capped Bowlers: After a 10-minute break.
• Uncapped Players: The first set on Day 1 will feature seven players, while the remaining players will be covered on Day 2.

Bidding Guidelines

• The auction starts at 3.30 PM IST, 1 PM local time.
• Raising of RTM bid can be any amount, not necessarily a rounded figure.
• 14 RTM cards are available among the 10 franchises.
• The total purse available across the teams is INR 641.5 crore.

Bidding Increments

• If the base price is INR 1.25 cr, the second bid will be INR 1.3 cr.
