West Indies on Brink of Series Lead

Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales took three wickets each as West Indies put Bangladesh on the brink of defeat on Day 4 of the first Test in Antigua.

West Indies need just three more wickets to secure a 1-0 series lead.

Bangladesh's Innings:

  • Bangladesh declared their first innings on 269/9, leaving West Indies with a 181-run deficit.
  • Taskin Ahmed took a maiden five-wicket haul in the second innings, finishing with 6-64.
  • West Indies were bowled out for 152 in their second innings.

West Indies' Innings:

  • Alick Athanaze top-scored with 42 for West Indies.
  • Kavem Hodge and Athanaze put up some resistance in the second half of the session.
  • Taskin Ahmed broke the partnership, dismissing Hodge and then cleaning up the tail.

Bangladesh's Second Innings:

  • Bangladesh were struggling at 109/7 at stumps, needing 225 runs to win.
  • Litton Das launched a counterattack but was dismissed by Shamar Joseph.
  • Skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz tried to steady the innings with partnerships, but Seales' late strikes left Bangladesh reeling.
