Jayasuriya Strikes but SA Drag Lead Past 300

South Africa's Lead Grows Despite Jayasuriya's Five-Wicket Haul

South Africa's lead has grown beyond 300 despite a five-wicket haul by Prabath Jayasuriya on the fourth day of the Test match.

Bavuma Continues Sizzling Form

South African captain Temba Bavuma brought up a half-century in the first over of the day, continuing his impressive form. He and his overnight partner were picking singles with ease to increase the lead.

Jayasuriya's Five-Fer

However, Jayasuriya's five-wicket haul in the morning session changed the course of the game. Bavuma was the first to depart, followed by David Bedingham and Kyle Verreynne. Jayasuriya completed his five-fer with the wicket of Marco Jansen.

Current Score

South Africa: 282/8 (Temba Bavuma 66, Aiden Markram 55)
Sri Lanka: 328
Lead: 312 runs
