Bumrah leaves SCG to undergo scans, bowling decision for Day 3 pending

India captain and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah left the field early on Day 2 of the Sydney Test due to a back injury concern. Bumrah underwent scans and returned to the dressing room later in the day. His availability for Day 3 will be determined by how he feels on Sunday morning.

Bumrah has bowled 151.2 overs across five Tests, claiming 32 wickets at 13.06. His workloads have raised concerns about potential injuries, with Rohit Sharma previously acknowledging the risk of overbowling Bumrah.

In the second Test at Adelaide, Bumrah required physio attention for groin discomfort but continued to perform well, matching Harbhajan Singh's record for most wickets by an Indian in a Test series against Australia.
