Karnataka Progress to Vijay Hazare Trophy Final

Karnataka secured their fifth Vijay Hazare Trophy final appearance with a convincing five-wicket victory over defending champions Haryana in Vadodara.

Haryana's Batting Struggles

Haryana's batting lineup struggled to make an impact, with a collapse that saw them lose four wickets for just 27 runs after reaching 102/1. Abhilash Shetty's four-wicket haul restricted Haryana to a below-par 237/9.

Karnataka's Chase

Karnataka's chase began shakily, but Aneesh KV and Devdutt Padikkal steadied the innings with a cautious 62-run partnership for the second wicket. The turning point came when Smaran Ravichandran joined Padikkal at the crease, and the duo rotated the strike effectively, adding quick runs and putting the pressure back on Haryana.

Key Performances

  • Devdutt Padikkal: 86 runs
  • Smaran Ravichandran: 76 runs

  • Shreyas Gopal: 2 for 36
