The Hundred Sale Begins Tomorrow

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will officially begin selling teams for The Hundred on Thursday, January 30. The sale of Oval Invincibles, the Surrey county-run London side, will be the first to take place.

Remaining Teams in the Race

Only four Indian Premier League (IPL) owners are left in the race for the remaining seven teams: Mumbai Indians, Lucknow SuperGiants, SunRisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Capitals (who are tied to the Hampshire-managed Southern Brave team).

Sale Process

The ECB will sell the teams in phases, allowing potential investors to stay in the race even if they don't secure a team in the initial round. Two or three parties will be pitted against each other, and the ECB will either conduct an e-auction or invite sealed bids from the contenders.

Teams Up for Sale

  • Oval Invincibles
  • Birmingham Phoenix
  • London Spirit (MCC and Lord's)
  • Welsh Fire (Cardiff)
  • Manchester Originals
  • Trent Rockets (Nottingham)
  • Northern Superchargers (Yorkshire)
  • Southern Brave
