Webster returns to Hurricanes after signing three-year deal

Hobart Hurricanes have secured Australian allrounder Beau Webster on a three-year contract. The Tasmania native will rejoin his hometown club after eight seasons with Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars.

Webster, 31, recently made his Test debut for Australia against India, scoring 57 and 39*. He is currently with the national squad in Sri Lanka.

In his BBL career, Webster has amassed over 1500 runs, with his best season for Renegades in BBL|09, where he scored 425 runs. After switching to medium pace from spin, he has claimed 17 wickets in his last three seasons for Stars.

Salliann Beams, High Performance General Manager, expressed her excitement about Webster's return: "Beau's skill set in the short form of the game is among the best in the country, and he can change the game with both bat and ball. His leadership and camaraderie with the current squad will be crucial for the Hurricanes."
