  • New Zealand pace bowler Ben Sears has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with a hamstring injury.
  • Jacob Duffy has been named Sears' replacement for the eight-nation tournament.
  • Sears experienced pain in his left hamstring during the team's first training session in Karachi and subsequently underwent a scan which revealed a minor tear.
  • He would have only been available for New Zealand's final group match against India on March 2.
