Delhi Capitals Register Thrilling 7-Wicket Win Over UP Warriorz

Delhi Capitals registered their second win of the season, defeating UP Warriorz by 7 wickets in a thrilling encounter. The Capitals' victory was set up by a brilliant half-century from skipper Meg Lanning (69), who was well-supported by Annabel Sutherland (41*) and Marizanne Kapp (29*).

The game was a roller-coaster ride, with UP Warriorz getting off to a flying start thanks to Kiran Navgire's blistering 24-ball fifty. However, the Capitals' bowlers, led by Sutherland, pulled things back brilliantly in the last two overs to restrict the total to 166/7.

In response, the Capitals' chase was marked by a nervy finish, with Sutherland and Kapp seeing them through to the final over. The Australian duo's unbroken stand of 41* and 29* respectively, helped DC reach the target with just one ball to spare.

The win was a much-needed boost for the Capitals, who had been rattled by Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous game. For UP Warriorz, the wait for their first win of the season continues, with fielding errors and dropped catches proving costly in the end.
