In a must-win match, Bangladesh's innings went up and down, finishing with a total of 236/9.

Bangladesh's openers started purposefully, adding a 45-run stand. However, offspinner Michael Bracewell took charge, breaking the opening stand and finishing with 4-26 in an unchanged 10-over spell.

The middle overs proved challenging for Bangladesh, with experienced campaigners falling while trying to increase the run-rate. Najmul Hossain Shanto's 77 stood out, but he fell against the short ball of Will O'Rourke.

The lower-order fightback was led by Jaker Ali, who scored 45, and Rishad Hossain, helping Bangladesh over 200 and to a respectable total.
