KL Rahul on adapting to different batting positions and challenges in the Champions Trophy

KL Rahul has been moved up and down in the Indian lineup, and he acknowledges that adapting to different positions has been a challenge. However, he believes that it's part of the game and that he needs to focus on doing his job.

Rotating the strike a challenge

Rahul has found it difficult to rotate the strike, especially against spinners and fast bowlers. He believes that once dot balls start to pile up, the pressure builds up and batsmen need to play big shots or short shots, which can give the opposition an opportunity.

Consulting teammates

Rahul often consults teammates who have spent time in the middle, such as Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer, to gain insights into the wicket and determine which shots work best.

Pressure from Rishabh Pant

Rahul is under pressure from Rishabh Pant, who is a specialist wicketkeeper and is breathing down his neck. This adds an extra strain on Rahul, leaving him with little margin for error.

Dealing with criticism

Rahul is used to seeing criticism on social media and believes that if his heart is in the right place and he's thinking about winning the game, he can sleep peacefully. He does read about the criticism, but only takes it into account if it's valid.
