Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shellar appointed to the ACC board

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has appointed Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shellar as its representatives to the Asian Cricket Council. Shukla will represent BCCI as an Executive Member on the ACC board, while Shellar will serve as the Ex-Officio Board Member.

The ACC board's immediate agenda includes the conduct and organisation of the Asia Cup, tentatively scheduled for September this year in the T20 format. The tournament will be held in a neutral country, with Sri Lanka and the UAE being considered as potential venues. The decision is in line with the India-Pakistan dynamics.

The Asia Cup cycle includes four tournaments: the 2025 edition (19 games), the 2027 edition (13 games) in Bangladesh (ODI format), the 2029 edition (19 games) in a neutral country (T20 format), and the 2031 edition (13 games) in Sri Lanka (ODI format).
