'Wanted to end on a positive note' – Deepti reflects on UPW's season-ending win

UP Warriorz signed off the season with a thrilling 12-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore, eliminating the defending champions in the process. In a high-scoring game, UPW's batters posted a record-breaking total, with Georgia Voll's explosive knock of 99 leading the charge. RCB fought hard but the target was too many for them.

Deepti Sharma, UPW captain, emphasized the importance of a positive finish to the season, despite their early elimination. She expressed her gratitude for the crowd support and acknowledged the team's inconsistent performance throughout the tournament.

The opening pair of Voll and Grace Harris once again delivered, with Voll determined to bat deep after Harris' run out. The middle order also clicked, providing crucial support. Deepti highlighted the team's improved performance compared to their previous game, attributing it to better team coordination.

A turning point in the game was Richa Ghosh's dismissal, with Deepti winning the duel against her national teammate. Deepti, reflecting on her maiden season as captain, remained optimistic about the team's potential and her own growth as a leader. She emphasized her love for challenges and the need for continuous improvement.
