Nasir Hossain Returns to Competitive Cricket After Two-Year Ban

Nasir Hossain has been cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and has returned to competitive cricket after serving a two-year ban. The 33-year-old was banned in September 2023 for breaching the ICC's Anti-Corruption Code, but has now completed all the criteria of the ban and is eligible to resume his cricketing career.

Hossain, who represented Bangladesh in 115 international matches between 2011 and 2018, made his comeback in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League, featuring for Rupganj Tigers against Gazi Group Cricketers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on April 7, 2025.
