Clinical Zalmi Deflate Sultans to Get Off the Mark

Peshawar Zalmi got off the mark in PSL 2025 with a massive 120-run win over Multan Sultans in Rawalpindi.

Zalmi's Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Mohammad Haris shared a 79-run partnership in 31 balls to take control of the game. Kohler-Cadmore was particularly brutal, hitting three sixes off Usama Mir.

Haris, who got a reprieve early in his innings, made the most of the opportunity, smashing 45 runs. Mitchell Owen and Abdul Samad also contributed to Zalmi's massive total of 227 for 7.

In response, Sultans made a promising start but couldn't keep up with the required rate. Usman Khan's 22-ball 44 was the highlight of the innings, but wickets kept tumbling from the other end. Ali Raza and Arif Yakoob combined to dismiss the Sultans middle order, and the team was bundled out for 107 in less than 16 overs.

Brief Scores:

Peshawar Zalmi 227/7 in 20 overs (Tom Kohler-Cadmore 52, Mohammad Haris 45) beat Multan Sultans 107 in 15.5 overs (Usman Khan 44, Shai Hope 20) by 120 runs.
