Injured Sandeep Sharma to Miss Remainder of IPL 2025

Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Sandeep Sharma has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2025 due to a fractured finger. The 31-year-old suffered the injury while attempting to field a shot off his own bowling during the Royals' home game against Gujarat Titans.

Sandeep showed immense bravery by continuing to bowl with the injury in the last match. The Royals' team management wishes him a full and speedy recovery.

This is a significant blow to the Royals' chances, who are still alive in the race to the playoffs. Sandeep took nine wickets from 10 games at an economy of 9.89 before being replaced by Akash Madhwal for the game against Mumbai Indians. The team is actively working on finalising his replacement, which will be announced in due course.
