IPL 2025: MI Travel to Dharamsala Deferred

The Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) schedule has been disrupted due to the shutdown of airports in Chandigarh following Operation Sindoor. As a result, Mumbai Indians will not be traveling to Dharamsala as planned.

Reason for Postponement

The team had planned to travel to Dharamsala via Chandigarh, but the lack of permission to land flights in the Punjab city has forced them to postpone their trip. Many northern cities' airports have been shut down, and flights have been canceled.

Impact on IPL Schedule

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is awaiting further instructions on how to proceed. Dharamsala is already hosting Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, and subsequent travel for both teams is a concern. The BCCI is exploring new venues to relocate games, including the match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians scheduled for May 11.

Potential New Venues

Mumbai is being considered as a preferred choice for relocating North Indian matches. The Wankhede Stadium, which is hosting Mumbai Indians games, is a potential venue. Other options include Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.
