Yashasvi Jaiswal Reverses Decision to Leave Mumbai Domestic Team

Yashasvi Jaiswal has decided to reverse his decision to leave the Mumbai domestic team. The left-hander had earlier planned to shift to Goa from the 2025-26 season onwards and had obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for the move.

Jaiswal Requests MCA to Withdraw NOC

Jaiswal has now requested the MCA to withdraw his NOC, signalling a reversal of his earlier stance. In an email to the association, he explained that his initial decision to move was based on a family plan, which has since changed.

I, the undersigned, would request your goodself to consider my request to withdraw my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa, which for now has been curtailed! So, I sincerely request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai this season. I have not submitted the NOC to BCCI nor to the Goa Cricket Association.

MCA's Response Uncertain

The MCA is yet to respond to the opener's request, as it remains uncertain about the possibility of reversing an NOC. The association is expected to consult the BCCI and Goa Cricket Association before making a final decision.

Jaiswal's decision to switch from Mumbai to Goa, where he had been offered captaincy, had come as a surprise at the time, considering his long association with Mumbai cricket, having progressed through its age-group system and domestic ranks.
