- A Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) official confirmed they interviewed Ankit but a final decision hasn't been made.
- Ankit has played 17 first-class games for Puducherry, taking 49 wickets.
- He has also played 13 List A games (12 wickets) and 13 T20 matches (11 wickets) for Puducherry.
- CAP officials stated Sidak Singh, another left-handed allrounder, will replace Ankit in the Puducherry team.
- Diddhant Adhatrao, Puneet Datey, and Jayant Yadav have been named as Puducherry's professional players for the season.
