Curran, Brook and Perry headline early retentions before Hundred auction
Three-time men's and two-time women's champions MI London, rebranded from Oval Invincibles, have retained Sam Curran and Will Jacks for the men's team. Danielle Wyatt-Hodge is their first direct signing for the women's team.
Notably, MI London have not retained last season's Men's Hundred Player of the Series, Jordan Cox, or their captain Sam Billings.
Sunrisers Leeds, formerly Northern Superchargers, have announced four pre-signings for the men's team: Harry Brook and Brydon Carse retained, with Nathan Ellis and Mitchell Marsh as direct signings. For the women's reigning champions, Kate Cross, Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland have been retained.
Birmingham Phoenix have made one retention and one direct signing for each side:
- Women's: Ellyse Perry (retained), Alice Capsey (direct signing).
- Men's: Jacob Bethell (retained), Rehan Ahmed (direct signing).
Trent Rockets have named one player per side so far: Tim David as a direct signing for the men's team, and Nat Sciver-Brunt retained for the women's team.
Manchester SuperGiants, Southern Brave, London Spirit and Welsh Fire are yet to announce their retentions and direct signings.
