Fit-again Shreyanka Patil returns for Australia T20Is

A fully fit Shreyanka Patil has returned to India's T20I squad for the upcoming tour of Australia. Having last played in the 2024 T20 World Cup, she was sidelined with injuries for most of 2025. She made a strong comeback in the ongoing WPL season for RCB, taking a five-wicket haul just a day before the squad announcement.

India have also recalled middle-order batter Bharti Fulmali, who played her only two T20Is in March 2019. Fulmali had a notable WPL season last year, scoring 133 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 172.72. She has started this season strongly with scores of 36 off 19 and 39 off 20. The only player dropped from the last T20I series against Sri Lanka is Harleen Deol.

India's T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (WK), G Kamalini (WK), Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Fulmali, Shreyanka Patil.

For the ODIs, India have included Shafali Verma after her impressive performances filling in for the injured opener Pratika Rawal during their championship-winning run. Rawal remains out with a knee injury, while wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia continues her rehabilitation from knee surgery.

Wicketkeeper G Kamalini has earned a spot in the squad. Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy have been left out, while Kashvee Gautam has been included.
