UPW rope in Amy Jones as replacement for Litchfield
UP Warriorz have named Amy Jones as an injury replacement for Phoebe Litchfield for the remainder of the Women's Premier League 2026.
Litchfield, a standout performer this season, scored 243 runs in six matches before being ruled out due to injury. Her absence is a significant blow as the league enters its crucial phase.
Jones, an experienced England wicketkeeper-batter, brings extensive international exposure with 125 T20Is and 1,666 runs in the format. She joins UP Warriorz for a fee of INR 50 lakh, adding depth and flexibility to both the batting order and wicketkeeping options.
The Warriorz are currently bottom of the points table with four points from six games. To qualify, they must win both remaining matches and reach eight points. They face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on January 29 and Delhi Capitals on February 1.
