Scotland, Ireland seal 2026 Women's T20 World Cup spots
Scotland have clinched qualification for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup in England and Wales, rounding out the final line-up from the Global Qualifier in Nepal alongside Ireland, Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
In their Super Six encounter against the United States, Scotland put on a strong all-round performance to secure victory and the crucial points they needed to finish among the top four in the standings. That result ensured they now head to the showpiece event later this year.
Ireland had earlier confirmed their place on the final day of the qualifiers with a win over Thailand, posting 121 for 8 and then bowling out their opponents to book their place in the 12-team tournament set for June-July across venues in England and Wales.
