Mishara, Shanaka and bowlers set up series parity

Sri Lanka bounced back from the first T20I defeat with a commanding all-round performance to level the series in Kingston. Kamil Mishara's unbeaten 61 anchored the innings, while Dasun Shanaka's blistering 58 off 24 propelled Sri Lanka to a imposing total. Dushmantha Chameera (3-9) and Wanindu Hasaranga (3-38) then dismantled West Indies for 157.

After Kusal Mendis (31 off 19) provided a flying start, Sri Lanka slipped to 43/3. Mishara and Kamindu Mendis rebuilt with a 45-run stand before Shanaka launched a brutal assault, hitting five fours and four sixes in his 19-ball fifty. Mishara accelerated late, going from 22 off 23 to 61* off 40.

West Indies stumbled early at 9/2, losing both openers inside two overs. Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell (43 off 26) kept the chase alive, taking 28 off two Eshan Malinga overs. However, Hetmyer's run out triggered a collapse, with the last six wickets falling for 66 runs.

Brief Scores: Sri Lanka 194/6 in 20 overs (Kamil Mishara 61*, Dasun Shanaka 58; Shamar Joseph 3-32) beat West Indies 157 in 18.1 overs (Rovman Powell 43; Dushmantha Chameera 3-9, Wanindu Hasaranga 3-38) by 37 runs
