Sri Lanka push lead after Greaves, Hope tons

After another tiring day in Antigua, Sri Lanka pushed their lead to 142 runs at stumps on Day 4, finishing at 92/2.

The Greaves and Hope show from Day 3 carried into Day 4, with both scoring centuries. However, West Indies still fell 50 runs short of Sri Lanka's total as Asitha Fernando claimed a five-wicket haul.

Shamar Joseph dismissed first-innings centurion Lahiru Udara for a golden duck, while Nishan Madushka fell to Alzarri Joseph. Dinesh Chandimal and Kamindu Mendis then steadied the innings with an unbeaten 60-run partnership.

Hope reached his fifth Test century and first at home, while Greaves scored his third. Their 242-run partnership ended just before lunch when Hope was run out in bizarre fashion after a delivery ricocheted off the keeper's gloves onto the stumps.

Greaves continued with Roston Chase, but Asitha Fernando's hostile spell triggered a collapse. West Indies went from 438/5 to 499 all out, with Greaves finishing on 180.

Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales struck early to leave Sri Lanka at 32/2, but Mendis (30* off 35) and Chandimal (40* off 66) regained control.

Brief Scores: Sri Lanka 549/9 decl. & 92/2 lead West Indies 499 (Greaves 180, Hope 112; Asitha Fernando 5-130) by 142 runs.
